Mark specializes in US/UK media and entertainment law, focusing on film and television content review, contract drafting, and trademark/copyright advice. He has worked for a range of US and UK media clients, most notably Showtime/CBS and Sacha Baron Cohen on the WHO IS AMERICA? television series, and as successful defense counsel for the BBC in a copyright matter involving the hit UK series, THE SPLIT. Mark left the world's most profitable and second largest law firm, Baker & McKenzie, to join our team. A Derry, Northern Ireland native, Mark graduated at the top of his class in Commercial Law at Ireland's largest university, Ulster University. While there, he attended and excelled at "The Law and Business of Film and Television," a graduate-level, Ulster University/SmithDehn LLP media law program taught by the Chief Counsel of HBO, the General Counsel of Channel 4, top in-house lawyers from 20th Century Fox and the BBC, and leading members of SmithDehn LLP. Mark also holds an honours law degree from Queens University in Belfast.
